Ms. Anita Maureen Evans, age 61, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in

Williamston, NC. Ms. Anita was a former childcare teacher at Smiling Faces Child Care Center, Williamston, NC. Her survivors include one son, Dallas Wiggins of Williamston, NC and two sisters, Audrey Evans Williams of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Angela Evans of Randleman, NC; a step-mother, Christine Evans of Greensboro, NC and an honorary sister and cousin, Bernadette Rodgers of Williamston, NC.

Her public viewings will be held on Friday February 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Manson Mortuary and on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Back Swamp Church of Christ, Williamston, NC. The funeral service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Back Swamp Church of Christ, Williamston, NC with Bishop Dr. Nathan M. Milton of the Love, Faith, and Deliverance Worship Center Greensboro, NC serving as eulogist. The family will line up at church before the service. Interment will follow at Tyner Family Cemetery.
