Windsor, N.C. Mr. Charlie Earl Mitchell, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center in Windsor, N.C. Mr. Mitchell was born in Bertie County. He was a member of Church of the Latter Rain. Survivors include his wife, Leola H. Mitchell of Windsor, NC; two daughters, Erika Jean of Brooklyn, NY and Lecia Mitchell of Windsor, NC; two sisters, Lorraine Thompson of Los Angeles, CA and Shirley Williams of Brooklyn, NY; and two grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Windsor, NC with Pastor Travis Judkins officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
