in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was a member of Profound Truth

Ministries in Williamston, NC and he was a Shift Leader at Hardees Restaurant in

Williamston, NC.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley A. Simmons of Stamford, CT.; his wife,

Nedra P. Simmons of Williamston, NC; one son, Derrick P. Simmons, Jr. of

Williamston, NC; three daughters, Jasmine Simmons of Elizabeth City, NC, Jessica

Simmons and Jordin Simmons of Williamston, NC; and one sister, Tonya Goodman of

Florida.

His viewing will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00

am at Mt. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 am

at Mt. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC with Apostle

Annie B. Barksdale serving as Eulogist. Interment will follow in Andrews

Memorial Park in Williamston, NC.
