Dorothy Whitaker Davis

Williamston, N.C. Ms. Dorothy Whitaker Davis, 79, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Martin General Hospital. Ms. Davis was born in Martin County. She was a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Jamesville, NC. Survivors include two sons, Charlie E. Davis, Jr. of Jamesville, NC and Chester E. Davis of Williamston, NC; one daughter, Barbara D. Broadaway of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Herman Whitaker of Jamesville, NC and Ulysses Whitaker of Jamesville, NC; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Jamesville, NC with Rev. Gregory Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in the Jamesville Cemetery in Jamesville, NC.
