Williamston, NC Ms. Flossie Mae Lanier, 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Ms. Lanier was born in Martin County. She was a member of Bethlehem AME Zion Church. Survivors include one son, James Swimpson of Bowie, MD; two daughters, Evelyn S. Trapp and Janice M. Lanier, both of Williamston, NC; one brother, Frederick D. Lanier of Sanford, NC; one sister Nora L. Rushmore of Rocky Mount, NC; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC and from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday June 26, 2012 at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC with Rev. Adrian Wyrick II officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cememtery in Williamston, NC.
