Williamston, NC Ms. Hattie Rodgers Reid, 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Vidant Hospital. Ms. Reid was born in Martin County. She was a member of Mt. Zion Holiness Church in Williamston, NC. Survivors include three sons, Thessie Rodgers (Norwalk, Ct.), James Rodgers (Williamston, NC), and Boston Reid (Williamston, NC); three daughters, Betty Edwards (Norwalk, Ct.), Emma Swain (Williamston, NC), and Valerie Singleton (Williamston, NC); one sister, Rachel Purvis (Williamston, NC) and 11 grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Monday, April 16 at Manson Mortuary, Williamston, NC and from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mt. Zion Holiness Church in Williamston, NC. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mt. Zion Holiness Church in Williamston, NC with Minister Carol Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
