Williamston, NC Mrs. Luvenia M. Johnson, 78, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 in Martin General Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born in Martin County. She was a member of Back Swamp Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James Johnson, Jr. and Tyrone Johnson, both of Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Paula Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Joseph Dean James of Williamston, NC; two sisters, Mary James and Emma James, both of Williamston, NC; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Manson Mortuary Chapel, Williamston, NC. Burial will follow in Smith Memorial Garden in Williamston, NC.
