Nicodemus Long, Sr.

Mr. Nicodemus Long, Sr., age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 in

Edgecombe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tarboro, NC. He was a retired

employee of Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company.

His survivors include his wife, Elsie O. Long of Williamston, NC; two sons,

Nicodemus Long, Jr. of Byron, GA and Gerald A. Long of Bradenton, FL;

two sisters, Lucy Gray Walston of Tarboro, NC and Nancy Lee Lyas of

Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00 pm until

6:00 pm at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC and on Saturday, February

29, 2020 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in

Williamston, NC.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm at

Williams Chapel AME Zion Church 119 Rhodes Street in Williamston, NC with

Pastor Ingrid Hackett officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
