Metawan, NJ Mrs. Shirley Newsome Watson, 67, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Mrs. Watson was born in Bertie County. She was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel, NC. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Lewis Watson, Matawan, NJ; one son Eddie L. Watson, Keyport, NJ; one daughter, Kimberly Danielle Charis, Arlington, VA; three brothers, Willie Newsome, John Newsome, and Kevin Newsome; four sisters Sylvia Hardy Newsome, Lillian Edward, Arlethia Hill, and Brenda Brown; and one grandchild. The funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Sandy Branch Baptist Church in Roxobel, NC with Rev. Jessie Davis officiating.
