Summer Deion Griffin

Williamston, NC Miss Summer Deion Griffin, passed away on March 24, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center. Miss Summer D. Griffin was born in Martin County. She was a member of Devout Praise Holy Church in Grimesland, North Carolina. Survivors include her mother, Paula Griffin Whitehurst of Greenville, NC; father Phillip Demry; Two daughters, Laylee N. Savage and Kalaya G. Savage of Greenville, NC; a brother Phillip R. Holley of Elizabeth City, NC; and two sisters, Chikara G. Robinson of Greenville, NC and Lalila Demry of Maryland. A visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, N.C. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the House of Refuge Church in Robersonville, N.C. with Pastor Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyner/Griffin Cemetery in Williamston, N.C.
