Ollie Moses Obituary

Williamston – Mrs. Ollie Mae Brown Moses, age 88, passed away on April 3, 2020 in the family home. She was a lifelong contributor of the Williamston and Rodgers Town Community, a 1949 graduate of E. J. Hayes High School, a 1953 graduate of Elizabeth City State University. She was married for 66th years to her beloved husband, W.C. Moses. She had two children Cornel T. Moses married to Olivia Moses and Indira M. Everett married to Roosevelt Everett. She was so proud of her grandsons Tyrone A. Moses, Aaron T. Moses and Roosevelt Everett III and great grandsons, Alexander T. Moses, Tyrese C. Moses and Aaron T. Moses II. She also leaves behind her brother, Clarence Brown, and sisters, Dorothy Worsley, Lucille Brown, and Janie Burns.

 

Ollie retired from Rodgers Elementary School after teaching 2nd and 3rd grade for 30 years. She was a devoted church member of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was held in high esteem for her motherly advising of young and old disciples and her many leadership roles while in fellowship with the church.

 

Her viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at Manson Mortuary in Williamston and on April 8, 2020 from 11a.m. – 1p.m.  at Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC with visitors directed to adhere closely to mandated social distancing guidance. A private service of designated family members identified in advance will follow at 1 p.m. on April 8, 2020 also at the church. The church is located at 2131 Rodgers School Road, Williamston, NC with Pastor Roy Gray officiating. Private interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC for designated family members.

 

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Rodgers Elementary School and mail to 2277 Rodgers School Road, Williamston, NC 27892.
