Sylvia Evangeline (Johnson) Blount

Sylvia E. Johnson-Blount, age 79, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Levine and 

Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.  She is formerly from Williamston, NC and spent

many years working in New York.

Her survivors include two daughters, Sherri Blount-Knight of Concord, NC and Ravonda

(Nikki) Oden of Laurelton, NY; one brother, Kenneth Johnson of Williamston, NC and one

sister, Constance Boswell of Monroe, NC; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Her walk through viewing will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm 

at Manson Mortuary in Williamston, NC. A face covering is recommended upon entrance to the 

building.

Another viewing will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm at 

Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone 

Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC with Pastor Russell Shaw officiating.

Her interment will be in Andrews Memorial Park immediately following the service.
